Friends, many of you have reached out to ask how our team in India is doing amidst the massive surge in COVID cases there in the last few weeks.  I wish I could tell you that we have been unscathed, but unfortunately, that's not the case.  Currently, six of our nine team members in India have COVID.  Hospital beds are full, ventilators are in short supply, and none of them have been able to find treatment.  

We thought we experienced the worst of it when Delhi was in lockdown for two months in 2020.  At that time, we were so thankful that none of our employees contracted COVID, but we faced major difficulty as a startup when our office remained vacant and work came to a screeching halt.  Nevertheless, we remained faithful to our mission of dignified work even when COVID made work impossible.  None of our employees missed a paycheck and we overcame in the face of dire challenges completely out of our control.

Now, COVID has ravaged our beloved team and Delhi is in lockdown again.  And we are committed, once again, to walk through this fire with our employees.  Savhera's team members are overcomers.  They have experienced profound suffering that most of us cannot imagine, and yet they overcome.  Time and time again, they overcome.  But it's exhausting and no one can do it alone.
