DIY Cooling Facial Mist with Essential Oils

Recipe for a Cooling Facial Spray

Add 1 cup distilled or mineral water and 5-10 drops of organic essential oil to a small, opaque spray bottle. Shake and spritz! Keeps for about 1-2 weeks in the refrigerator and 24 hours outside the fridge. 

Recipe Modifications: 

  • For an extra nourishing facial spray, use skin-boosting teas. Replace the water with tea that has steeped for one hour using 1 cup of water and 1 tea bag. Make sure to cool the tea completely. Chamomile tea is extra soothing and green tea contains skin healthy antioxidants. 
  • If you have oily or acne-prone skin, add some witch hazel to your facial spray. Fill your bottle about ¾ of the way with water and top with witch hazel. 

Which Essential Oils to Use in Your DIY Facial Mist? 

You can personalize your facial mist with the essential oils you love best, but here are some of our recommendations to get you started!
