Ingredients

Glass Jar with Lid

Baking Soda

Essential Oils (keep reading for carpet blend inspiration)

To make, mix 2 cups of baking soda with 10-15 drops of essential oils in a large mixing bowl. If you are using a homemade blend, make sure only to use 10-15 drops total. While we all love essential oils, too much can be overpowering, reversing the purpose of the freshener. The texture of the mixture should remain very similar to baking soda (grainy). Pour into the glass jar and shake well just to mix one more time.

To use, sprinkle homemade carpet freshener over your carpet. Let sit for 20 min or more. Then, vacuum up the freshener and voila better looking, better feeling, better-smelling carpets!
